First Flight

There were a few opportunities 

To fly for official reasons;

Yet, none turned to be fruitful,

As a nobler reason awaited!

Flying for the moments spent meaningful 

For the sheer joy of seeing loved ones

 Is the most cherished reason:

What else can better glorify the first flight!

Hyper excited to feel the symptoms of heart attack,

Thousand butterflies fluttered in the gut,

Seated in a window seat feeling quirky;

When the flight takes off,

All the butterflies burst out 

And flew around me in multiple colours -

More than the flying the reason makes it worth;

Indeed, my memorable memory treasures it!
